500 Festival Memorial Service remembers, honors fallen Hoosier heroes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 is Sunday.

But before the drivers start their engines, a memorial service was held to honor fallen heroes.

The ceremony was held Friday, May 24, at Monument Circle.

The event, which was free and open to the public, remembered Hoosier men and women who died while serving in the armed forces.
