WIBC’s Salvation Army Radiothon breaks record for donations, Christmas presents for kids

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — WISH-TV media partner 93.1 WIBC is celebrating its 26th annual Radiothon for the Salvation Army in record-breaking fashion.

The weekend event kicked off Friday, December 11th, and before 6 p.m. the fundraiser already eclipsed the 125-thousand dollar mark. Watch All Indiana reporter Randall Newsome’s Facebook Live to see the reaction from WIBC’s Hammer and Nigel just after the record was broken.

The money goes to the Salvation Army to buy Christmas presents for kids.

“Considering what a lot of people have been through this year, to be breaking these kinds of records that we’re doing just shows what Hoosier hospitality is really about,” Jason Hammer said.
