Indy’s LOVE sculpture on ‘Best Place to Propose’ list
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis has taken a LOVEly spot in a national voting contest.
USA Today is asking its readers to vote on the Best Place to Propose. As of Tuesday morning, the LOVE Sculpture outside of the Indianapolis Museum of Art was ranked #1 out of 20.
The sculpture, which was created in 1970 by artist Robert Indiana and obtained by the IMA in 1975, has become a popular destination for love birds about to pop the question.
Other destinations that are vying for the Best Place to Propose title include the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Empire State Building in New York City and the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
