Lego to release braille bricks

(WISH) — Lego is hoping to help blind and visually impaired children learn braille.

The company is launching 250 new braille bricks. The bricks feature studs used for characters in the braille alphabet.

They’ll also have printed characters so sighted people can read the bricks.

The bricks will be fully compatible with existing lego bricks. The project will fully launch in 2020 and will be distributed to institutions free of charge.
