City of Fishers to unveil Gold Star Families monument
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — The City of Fishers is honoring the service men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. They plan to unveil a Gold Star Families Memorial Monument.
The front of the new monument is similar to others in every state across the country. The back is unique to Fishers. It focuses on five concepts, homeland, family, patriot, sacrifice and remembrance.
More than 25 Gold Star Families plan to be at the ceremony.
It’s from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in front of city hall.
