INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every week, Dick Wolfsie share a fun and exciting story that has a special connection to central Indiana.

This time Dick checked out a new exhibit at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The exhibit is called “The Pigeon and Pals!” and it shows off the artwork of Mo Willems and gives kids a lesson on who he is as an artist.

“The goal of his art, when he started creating his characters, was to create characters that kids can draw themselves,” said Monica Humphrey, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Kids not only can look at the artwork, they can also launch hot dogs at pigeons and share cookies. However, the museum said all the fun is not just for kids.

“They’re so much fun for the adults to read as well. They’re a little silly, a little fun and just really imaginative,” said Humphrey.

The exhibit is also interactive and visitors can try to create art just like Mo Willems.

“They’re two different stations that kids and their families and come and try drawing Elephant Gerald and Piggy and a whole bunch of other characters,” said Humphrey.
