INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A house fire Saturday afternoon caused $250,000 worth of damage, according to the Indianapolis Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the 7700 block of Windy Hill Way on the city’s east side around 3:30 p.m.
A woman, her daughter and her niece were reportedly inside the home when the fire started. The woman’s stepfather was mowing the grass when a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the garage.
The stepfather ran into the home to alert those inside.
All four people made it out safe. A cat was rescued from the home by firefighters.
