Indianapolis firefighter died of COVID-19 complications
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A funeral is set for Friday for firefighter Gerald Brooks, who died due to complications related to COVID-19, the Indianapolis Fire Department said Wednesday.
The department announced Brooks’ death on social media Nov. 2 and did not give a cause of death at that time. He was 49 years old.
IFD says Brooks joined the department in 2000. He is survived by his 17-year-old son and a younger brother.
