Motorcycle benefit ride supports pit bull rescue group

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — More than 100 Indianapolis bikers rode Sunday to support pit bull rescue in the first-ever benefit ride for the organization.

Lucci’s House Bully Rescue became a nonprofit back in January and cares for rescued pit bulls. Right now they have 17 dogs in foster homes. They also take care of other bully breed dogs but vet bills add up.

“Some people have a fear of them (pit bulls) because of the stigma that’s associated with them. So we have some of our dogs out here to kind of associated and let them know they aren’t all bad. We have a kissable kissing booth so they can go over there and kiss the dogs. We just want people to know there are dogs in need,” said Chelsea Collins, founder of Lucci’s House Bully Rescue.

Collins says they are always open to answer questions you may have about bull breeds and how best to introduce them to new homes.
