Man sentenced for firing shots at teenage girls
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man who fired shots at a group of people in 2014 has been sentenced in the case.
Anthony Martin was sentenced to eight years of work release with community corrections.
He must also undergo a substance abuse evaluation, a mental health evaluation, PTSD evaluation and pay $1,000 in restitution.
Under a plea agreement, he was sentenced for four counts of criminal recklessness. Four counts of pointing a firearm were dismissed.
Court documents stated that Martin followed three teenage girls inside of a gas station in May 2014.
The girls then got into a car with a male chaperon and Martin began to follow them again onto the interstate.
Martin had been accused of firing shots into the car. No one had any serious injuries.
