How to care for the mental health of students as they return to school

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Returning to in-person learning after last school year was severely disrupted by the pandemic may lead to added stress and anxiety for students.

On Saturday, clinical psychologist Dr. Danielle Henderson came on Daybreak to provide advice on how families can make the beginning of the school year as smooth as possible.

Henderson discussed the importance of treating each child individually based on their personality and why creating space for conversations for children is so crucial.
