Officers run through Hamilton Co. for Special Olympics

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Several police officers traded their uniforms for shorts and sneakers Friday to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics.

The officers and others were from multiple law enforcement agencies throughout Hamilton County. About 60 people were running.

Each agency started at a specific location and were planning to run to downtown Noblesville. Once there, the officers will be joined by local athletes from Special Olympics for a lap around the downtown square.

Officers were running between 4 and 10 miles, depending on their starting location.
