Storm Track 8: Sunny skies for the Easter holiday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A beautiful Sunday is in the forecast for the afternoon, but WISH-TV meteorologists say there are chances for rain this week.

Storm Team 8 stated that mild temperatures and plenty of sun will allow Indianapolis residents to fully enjoy Easter egg hunts and holiday celebrations through the afternoon. However, winds should start increasing this afternoon, with gusts up to 25mph at times. High temperatures could hit the mid-60’s.

Clear skies will usher in the evening, but clouds will start accumulating in the overnight hours. Temperatures through the night will be in the mid- to low-40’s.

Light showers might open the week, and widespread rain is expected Monday evening. Monday should see highs of low- to mid-60’s.
