Uncomfortably hot, humid conditions headed our way

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Extreme  heat and humidity return this weekend with “feels like” temperatures back into the 100s.

TONIGHT: Clouds will begin to diminish late this afternoon to bring a nice evening later. Clear skies overnight with a low of 67.

TOMORROW: A clear start to the day is expected Thursday, but as we climb to our high in the upper 80s, clouds will begin to develop late afternoon.

Southern parts of the state could start to see temperatures in the 90s as well. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy and the low will only be 72.

FRIDAY: Uncomfortable conditions will start with high humidity and temperatures rising up to the low 90s all over central Indiana. Partly cloudy conditions all day with a low in the mid 70s overnight.

An excessive heat watch is in place for much of the northern counties starting Friday afternoon and will end Saturday evening. Heat indices will be seen between 100 and 105.

8-DAY FORECAST: The heat will remain through the weekend with “feels like” temperatures in the 100s sticking around with high humidity.

Rain chances will return Sunday and Monday, but the heat will not go away. Highs around 90 will remain in place for majority of next week.
