Colts fans back tailgating for the first time since pandemic ahead of home opener

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– More than 65,000 fans are being welcomed back to Lucas Oil Stadium for the Colts home opener Sunday while thousands more watch from home.

Tailgaters showed up as early as 6 a.m. ahead of the afternoon game. News 8’s Randall Newsome got to hang out with members of the “403 Crew.”

The team of diehard Colts fans and friends have been tailgating downtown since 2005. They talked about everything from their pregame rituals to what it means to reunite after being separated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
