Warming with increasing rain chances

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It will gradually warm up throughout the week with increasing rain chances.

Monday night:  Overnight, we will stick on the cool side, with most locations struggling to break below-freezing temperatures. We’ll see partly cloudy skies with lows in the lower 30s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and dry conditions with warmer temperatures than Monday. We will make it into the upper 40s and low 50s by late afternoon.

Overnight cloud cover will increase to partly cloudy conditions with lows in the mid 30s. Light winds will stick out of the south.

Wednesday: It’s the first official day of spring, and what’s more springlike than some light rain showers to kick off the season. A weak disturbance will push scattered rain showers into the area. This will be on-and-off throughout the day with a few dry hours inbetween isolated rain showers. Most of this will be fast-moving and light in nature.

Wednesday will be the coolest day in the 8-day forecast, with temperatures well below average, struggling to get into the upper 40s.

8-day Forecast: Throughout the next week we will continue on a gradual warming trend and go up to 60-degree temperatures by the weekend. Saturday will remain dry and warm, the better pick of the weekend. More rain chances will push in Sunday and into the beginning of the new workweek, but temperatures will hold steady in the low 60s.
