Edinburgh man arrested for impersonating police officer
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A man was arrested after impersonating a police officer in Columbus.
Police say a woman told a man to get off her property on the 2900 block of McKinley Avenue.
She told officers he wouldn’t leave her property and said he was a U.S. Marshall and did not have to leave.
When police spoke to him, he claimed he was a U.S. Marshall while in the military.
32-year-old Gregory Simpson was arrested and taken to the hospital since officers believed he was under the influence of drugs.
He faces preliminary charges of public intoxication and impersonating a police officer.
