Police identify person killed in weekend vehicle accident
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police have identified the individual killed in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, 27-year-old Jose Irigoyen Romero was thrown from his vehicle during the accident.
Police said the accident occurred just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning in the 6600 block of Brookville Road.
Romero was headed east on Brookville Road when he struck a curb, over corrected and then struck a guardrail which caused the vehicle to flip. IMPD said Romero was thrown from the vehicle in the process.
He was pronounced dead on scene by emergency crews.
