2 Lafayette gas stations held up over the weekend
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police are investigating two early morning robberies at Lafayette gas stations over the weekend.
On Saturday, just before 4 a.m., Lafayette police were called to the Circle K, 3603 Cougill Lane, on a report of an armed robbery. Witnesses told police two men entered the gas station and one man pointed a gun at the clerk.
Investigators said the subjects demanded money and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
On Sunday, around 2:15 a.m., Lafayette police responded to the Shell Gas Station, 245 S. Fourth St., regarding an attempted armed robbery. Police said a man entered the store with a gun and demanded money. But no money was taken, and the subject got away on foot.
All three subjects in both incidents are still at large. The investigation into both cases remains ongoing.
