2nd man dies after Carmel crash
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — A second man has died following a crash Monday in Carmel.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 96th Street and Haverstick Road around 11:15 a.m.
Investigators say a black 2009 Ford Acura driven by 68-year-old Robert Ingles was heading east when it went off the right side of the road and hit a speed limit sign. Police believe Ingles over corrected and went off the north side of the roadway and into a wooded area.
Ingles and the passenger, 71-year-old Thomas Billingsly, were transported to St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. Billingsly was pronounced dead a short time later.
Ingles died of his injuries on Tuesday.
