Blue Origin

Jeff Bezos predicts we’ll have 1 trillion humans in the solar system some day.

His space company, Blue Origin, will help get there he says, although he adds that he won’t be alive to see it happen.

NASA

NASA wants to send humans to Venus.

NASA is currently working on a conceptual manned mission to Venus, named the High Altitude Venus Operational Concept – HAVOC.

Because Venus’s surface isn’t hospitable to humans, the vehicle would just explore the atmosphere.

No actual date for a HAVOC-type mission has been publicly announced yet.

MIT

The Massachusets Institute of Technology made teh biggest announcement yet in a series of moves that are re-orienting the entire school around the study of artificial intelligence.

It will address the challenges and opportunities of AI

MIT says it will create 50 new faculty positions as part of the initiative.

Palm

Palm is trying to make a comeback.

CNET says teh new Palm is a tiny phone a companion mobile device that looks like a baby iPhone. It’s designed to act as a lightweight substitute when you want a smaller device to carry around.

The $349 device is sold exclusively in the U.S. by Verizon Wireless.
