Butler rallies to win against Creighton

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Butler came from six points down on the road at Creighton to beat the Blue Jays in Omaha 58-56 Monday night.

Roosevelt Jones scored on a drive to break a tie game with less than two seconds remaining for the game winning layup.

Creighton had a desperation heave fall short, and the Dogs rebounded from a heart-breaking loss to Villanova at Hinkle Fieldhouse Saturday night to win.

Jones finished with 18 points, while Kellen Dunham scored 19. They were also missing sophomore forward Andrew Chrabascz who underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his hand.

Team officials say he’ll miss 2-4 weeks.
