Coroner: 3-year-old shot dead in southeastern Indiana
SUNMAN, Ind. (AP) – A southeastern Indiana coroner says a 3-year-old child has been fatally shot at a home.
Dearborn County Coroner Steve Callahan says the shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. Friday outside Sunman, a town about 70 miles southeast of Indianapolis.
Callahan says investigators were still processing the scene Friday evening and it was too early to release the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The child’s name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
