25-year-old man dies in Lawrence shooting

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — A man was shot and killed in Lawrence late on Wednesday night.

The Lawrence Police Department said the shooting happened just before midnight Wednesday at a home in the 10400 block of Draycott Avenue.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Thursday night identified the victim as Stephen Banks, 25.

Police said the shooting was not a random act and Banks was an “invited guest” at the home.

Banks died at the scene.

No suspect information has been released.
