Boyfriend fatally stabbed girlfriend, then stabbed himself, police say
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 19-year-old woman has died after police say her boyfriend stabbed her and then himself at a house on the city’s north side.
Liv Harrison died of a stabbing, the Marion County coroner said Monday.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 1700 block of Stevenson Street, near West 58th Street and Grandview Drive, around 5:57 p.m. Sunday on a report of a domestic disturbance.
Other people were in the house when the woman’s boyfriend — a man in his 30s — stabbed her, according to police at the scene.
When officers tried to take the suspect into custody, he stabbed himself. He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Early Sunday morning, a man was found fatally shot on the front lawn of a home on the city’s near north side. No suspect had been reported arrested in that case.
