Male victim dead in shooting on city’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A male victim has died after a Tuesday night shooting on the city’s east side.

Officers with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 2900 block of Priscilla Avenue, near 30th Street and Arlington Avenue, just after 10 p.m. on a report of a person shot.

They arrived to find a male victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound who was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. The person died a short time after arriving at the hospital, IMPD said in a news release.

Police provided no information about the identity of the victim or the circumstances of the shooting.
