Man fatally shot in northeast side neighborhood

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 49-year-old man is dead after a shooting in a northeast side neighborhood Tuesday night.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 4200 block of North Edmondson Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. That is near the intersection of East 42nd Street and Shadeland Avenue.

Officers arrived and pronounced the man dead. He was identified by the Marion County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday as Michael Wilson.
