Police investigating after 22-year-old man fatally shot on far east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a person was fatally shot on the far east side of the city Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the 2700 block of Lullwater Lane, near 30th Street and Cumberland Road, around 5:30 a.m. after reports of a person shot.

Police said when officers arrived, they found an unresponsive 22-year-old male lying in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound. When medics arrived on scene, they pronounced the victim dead.

Investigators have not released any suspect information.
