Foggy start with storms later today

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A very foggy morning with a dense fog advisory through 10 a.m. Thursday morning. Once the fog burns off, the rain will move in. Highs will warm to the mid-70s Thursday afternoon.

Scattered storms will move in mid to late afternoon with some turning stronger especially further south of the city. There is a marginal risk of severe storms from Indy and points south and a slight risk in southern Indiana. Main threats will be damaging winds, hail and heavy rain. Lows will fall to the 60s.

Friday a few lingering showers for the morning commute with showers ending by lunchtime. Highs will run a bit cooler with most topping out in the lower 70s.

Another split weekend with scattered shower chances through the morning hours for the mini marathon. Showers will move out for the afternoon with highs running below normal with most in the mid-60s. Sunday we’ll finally see some sunshine with highs sitting comfortably in the lower 70s.

Another dry day to start the workweek next week with highs in the upper 70s and mostly sunny skies. Showers and storms arrive through midweek with highs in the 70s.
