CHICAGO (Inside INdiana Business) — The Indiana Society of Chicago Foundation Inc. is seeking nominations for its 2021 Hoosier of the Year award. This year’s award will honor “worthy first responders from across Indiana who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their care of COVID-19 patients.”
This is the first time the ISOCF is accepting nominations from the public for the award.
“The many sacrifices and unselfish care provided by first responders of all types – police officers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, doctors,or any other individual with a compelling story of courage – will be honored,” Julie Griffith, president of the ISOCF. “The ISOCF needs your help in nominating worthy first responders, and citizens are urged to submit nominations today.”
The deadline for nominations is Oct. 15. The recipient will be honored during the ISOCF Annual Dinner on Dec. 4 in Chicago.
