ISDH: 897 new positive tests for COVID-19; 5 more deaths reported

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana State Department of Health has released new COVID-19 stats.

State officials say 897 more Hoosiers have tested positive, bringing the state’s total to 94,196. The tests were conducted between August 29 and August 30.

Five more deaths have been reported to ISDH, bringing the state’s total 3,077 deaths. The deaths occurred between August 29 and August 30

Another 219 “probable” deaths have been reported, but a positive test was not recorded.

1,076,947 unique tests have been reported across the state.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 25,259,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 16,645,000 recoveries and more than 847,000 deaths.
