Hancock Regional Health delivers essentials to at-risk residents

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — Hancock Regional Health created Healthy365, an initiative to help residents stay healthy while being safe.

Amanda Everidge, the medical group’s director of community health improvement, told News 8 the initiative has been around for several years but recently changed its operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volunteers have provided transportation to essential medical appointments and lab services, food delivery services for those stuck at home, and trips to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions.

Everidge said they have been receiving a steady amount of calls for assistance. Volunteers made food deliveries to 22 houses on Wednesday.

Healthy365 can also connect residents to mental health or substance abuse services. The initiative is available at 317-468-4231 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. weekdays.
