Prosecutor: Leonard trial cost more than $60,000
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The trial of Mark Leonard cost the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office more than $60,000.
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said the office spent $62,805 for travel, lodging, expert witness fees and demonstrative exhibits.
Salary costs for staff were not included.
Curry said the cost also does not include county courts in Marion or St. Joseph counties or sheriff’s offices in either county.
Curry said Citizen’s Energy Group and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives provided testimony and assistance at no cost.
