INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Beautiful weather returns to central Indiana to wrap up the weekend.
Leftover cloud cover from our Saturday system will continue to push out early Sunday morning. Look for plenty of sun today, and much warmer temperatures as a result, as all areas should top out in the lower 70s this afternoon.
Weather will be quiet for the overnight, with clear conditions and seasonably cool tempeatures. Lows will dip to the lower 50s.
Monday will be the warmest day of the extended forecast, with another dose of sunshine across the area. Highs will top out in the middle to upper 70s.
8 day forecast:
An active pattern sets up late Monday night through Thursday. Expect scattered shower chances to return Tuesday, with thunderstorms returning to the forecast both Wednesday and Thursday. Early indications show that Thursday will be the best chance for rain, and a few storms could be on the strong to severe side on Thursday as well.
Dry and cooler weather will move in for Friday into Mother’s Day weekend. Temperatures will only top out in the lower to middle 60s – but still looking dry for the IndyCar Grand Prix Saturday afternoon. Just a few isolated showers are possible for Mother’s Day on Sunday.
