Viral Video: Crabs say no to the pot

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – If you have ever tried to steam crabs, you know it can be a difficult task. One woman in Virginia learned the hard way how not to do it.

Virginia Simmons posted a hysterical video of her first attempt on Facebook. She said she has boiled crabs all her life, but her brother convinced her to finally steam them instead.

Once Simmons opens the bag of live crabs to put them in the water, that’s when the situation gets out of hand quickly. The feisty crabs escape from the pot and the video shows Simmons chasing them all around her kitchen with a set of tongs.

The video continues for several minutes before she finally captures them all.

Simmons ends the video by toasting to the crabs’ memory.
