INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Former Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano will make his return to WISH-TV’s Emmy Award-winning NFL Sunday pregame show, “Countdown to Kickoff,” in September.

Sports Director Anthony Calhoun will go one-on-one with Pagano in a special segment called “Chuck Checks IN,” where AC and Pagano preview the upcoming matchup and talk about other hot topics related to the team.

Last season was Coach Pagano’s first year with WISH-TV as the Colts analyst.

The weekly feature will air live at 11 a.m. Sunday on “Countdown to Kickoff” on WISH-TV.

“I am excited to be back with AC and the Emmy award-winning Countdown to Kickoff crew,” Pagano said. “It was a blast last year, giving Colts fans exclusive coverage of the team like no other.”

Pagano joins News 8’s all-star cast of Colts insiders including former players Ken Dilger and Marlin Jackson, as well as 93.5/107.5 The Fan’s Kevin Bowen, who hosts the sports radio talk show “Wake Up Call” on weekday mornings.

Sept. 10 will be the first edition of the “Countdown to Kickoff” this season ahead of the Colts’ home opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pagano should have plenty of insight on the Colts’ new starting quarterback, No. 4 overall pick Anthony Richardson. Pagano’s regime drafted Andrew Luck with the first overall pick in his first year with the team in 2012.

Pagano coached the Colts from 2012-2017, leading the organization to two AFC South titles and a trip to the AFC Championship Game. Pagano, who spent over three decades on the college and NFL sidelines, guided the Colts to a 53-43 record during his tenure in Indianapolis.

“Countdown to Kickoff” is the only hourlong Colts pregame show in Indianapolis.

AC and the News 8 Sports Team also host a postgame show, airing right after the conclusion of each Colts game.
