Hero Noblesville teacher poses for photo with students on last day of school

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Jason Seaman, the hero science teacher who tackled an alleged shooter in his classroom in late May, took time Friday to pose for a photo with his 2nd period science class, the same group of kids that were in the classroom when the shooting happened.

Peyton Townsend, a student in that class, returned to school for the first time on Friday in what was also the last day of school for Noblesville students.

He Tweeted the photo with the caption “Glad to be with period 2 again.”

All the students are wearing “N West” tee shirts in the photo.

Policy say Seaman tackled the unidentified student that walked into the classroom with two handguns and began firing. Seaman was shot 3 times, sustaining minor injuries, and was released from the hospital the next day.

Student Ella Whistler was also wounded and remains in the hospital.
