Nice Friday, cooler weekend on tap
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Pleasant weather in the works for Friday. Temperatures run cooler this weekend, with the potential for freezing temperatures Sunday morning.
Tonight:
Quiet weather with mostly clear skies. Temperatures shouldn’t be quite as chilly as Thursday morning, only falling to the lower to middle 40s.
Friday:
Another fantastic day in the works. A couple of waves moving through will bring some clouds to the area in the afternoon. The second wave could bring a few isolated showers to northern portions of central Indiana by late evening.
Highs top out in the lower to middle 60s.
Weekend:
Temperatures will run cooler both Saturday and Sunday. Highs on Sunday only hit the middle 50s.
More concerning, the threat for freezing temperatures Saturday night into Sunday morning – especially north of Indy. this could cause damage to plants if they are not protected.
Sunday looks better despite the chilly start, with highs in the lower to middle 60s.
8 Day Forecast:
Still on track for a beautiful week next week. 70s return Monday, and potential for 80° temps to work into the area Tuesday. Showers and storms move back into the forecast for the second half of the work week.
