Community Link: Edna Martin Christian Center
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each week in Community Link Carolene Mays-Medley and Marco Dominguez take a look at an organization or business that is making a positive impact on the community.
This week, Barato Britt, the president and CEO of Edna Martin Christian Center stopped by the WISH-TV studio to talk about what services the center offers.
The mission of Edna Martin Christian Center is to bridge cultural, racial, and economic differences in order to support and nurture the people in the community.
“We have been foritified for the last 79 years as an organization that has been committed to community, particularly through programs that focus on our youth population,” said Britt. “That will include youth programs, out of school time programs, child care, but also workforce development programs, all the way to senior development programs.”
The center provides support and several different programs to offer support and hope for the community.
This week, Community Link also took a look at new laws that began at the beginning of July.
