INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — In the first of two interviews with the U.S. Senate candidates in Indiana’s Nov 6 election, News 8’s Scott Sanders talks with Republican Mike Braun.

Here are segments with Braun that aired Wednesday night on WISH-TV.
Segments with Sen. Joe Donnelly, the Democrat in the race, will air at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
In the first segment, Braun is asked why he wants the Senate job, what lessons he has learned from the campaign trail and whether he is fearful or hopeful about the future.
In the following segment, Braun is asked to respond to an attack ad. He also is asked whether he supports pre-existing conditions in government health plans.
In the next segment, Braun presents his views on the economy, tax cuts and tariffs. Braun asked was asked if he would go against President Donald Trump on issues.
In the final segment, Sander and the candidate have some fun. The candidate shares his favorite Indiana food, tells what area he disagrees with his party and names a Democrat he respects.
