Getting started on your kitchen reorganization

With the nice weather in the summertime, it’s a great time to get active and clean out your house! With holidays like the 4th of July or Labor Day coming up, it’s the time of year where families are hosting summer parties or having relatives over, and you might have a cousin come in looking for a fork and open up the embarrassing junk drawer instead.

Plus, it sets you up to save time from digging through the drawers to find what you need!

Lindsey Strainis, Co-Owner, Kitchen Tune-Up Hamilton County, shares a few tips!

o    What are some of the easiest and quickest ways to get the kitchen organized?
o    Eliminate the junk drawer, as well as the following items:
    Utensil drawer organizers
    Spice organizers
    Knife organizer
    K-cup drawer organizer

o    What are your top tips to organize the kitchen quickly?
o    You can easily mock these up using everyday items you purchase at your hardware store. Start with one drawer at a time. Clear out all the junk and debris, then wipe it down with a cleaning product. This is the part that many people skip — how long has it been since you’ve wiped the inside down? Designate each drawer to certain things, keep everything related. Everything should have its own place!
