Independence Academy hosts fundraiser to supports kids with autism

Have a fun night out, while also supporting a good cause!

Local non-profit and state accredited school, Independence Academy is hosting their annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, March 28 at the Renaissance Hotel.

The event supports the mission of the school, and this year’s theme is, “An Evening for Autism: Moroccan Nights.” It will include: dinner, drinks, dancing, casino games and both a live and silent auction!

Auction items include an autographed Domantis Sabonis Jersey, autographed Jack Doyel ball, Diamond’s Direct jewelry, and more!

Independence Academy serves students on the autism spectrum in grades 4 through 12.

It focuses on the “whole child” with an emphasis on both academics and their social and emotional well-being.

The school has small class sizes, an average student to teacher ratio of 6 to 1, multi-sensory approach and a manageable pace.
