Victory Field hosting family fun events in place of baseball season

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Even though baseball isn’t happening at Victory Field in 2020, the stadium will be hosting a number of events for fans and their families to enjoy.

“The Links at Victory Field” golfing event became so popular after it was announced, it sold out for the weekend.

Watch the video to hear Kerry Vick, the Indianapolis baseball team’s director of tickets, talk about what the community’s support has meant to the organization.

Adding this socially distanced event and others throughout the summer has been successful; they’re anticipating fans will have a similar reaction to their movie night series.

Three popular baseball movies will be showcased at the park as a part of the “Flicks at Victory Field” series. It all kicks off on Sept. 11, when they plan to feature one of the sport’s all-time cinema classics, “The Sandlot.”

Victory Field will also be playing “A League of their Own” and “Angels in the Outfield.”

Showtime dates: Sept. 11, Sept. 25 and Oct. 9.

Ball park officials ask that you purchase tickets in advance.
