Body of man found nearly 4 hours after Hamilton Co. crash

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Sheriff’s deputies in central Indiana say the body of a man involved in a car accident was found near the White River nearly four hours after the vehicle left the road.

The Hamilton County sheriff’s department has identified the victim as 29-year-old Dustin Mullins of Arcadia.

Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to a crash report shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday and found a car had rolled over the guardrail and hit several trees. Deputies found the passenger, who was treated for non-life threatening injuries, but couldn’t find the driver.

The passenger told officers he believed Mullins may have left the scene. The passenger returned around 7:15 a.m. to retrieve belongings and saw what he believed to be a body. Deputies returned to the scene and found Mullins’ body.
