Colts’ Fleener hosts coding camp

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Colts tight end Coby Fleener held a computer coding camp at the Colts Complex on Monday for local middle school kids in need.

There were two workshops at the day-long event, where they learned about the science behind websites, software and apps.

“We’re hoping to kind of spark something, some interest in the kids,” said Fleener. “It’s not going to be a course where they can write an operating system by the time they’re done, but it will be enough to kind of say ‘Wow, this is interesting.’”

It’s the first ever ‘Coby’s Coding Camp,’ which saw over 60 boys and girls attend.  It’s a hobby he picked up while at Stanford and continues to pursue during his free time.
