2 COVID-19 cases at Center Grove Community School Corporation

UPDATE: Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC) say a person at Center Grove Elementary School has also tested positive for COVID-19. Details about when the person tested positive or if the person is a student or a member of the staff or faculty were not released.

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — An individual at Center Grove High School has tested positive for COVID-19, according to officials with Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC).

School officials sent a message notifying high school families of the COVID-positive case. Details about when the person tested positive or if the person is a student or a member of the staff or faculty were not released.

“All close contacts (of the COVID-positive person) were notified by the Johnson County Health Department, Indiana State Department of Health, or a representative of CGCSC,” a message sent to families read.

District officials say if families did not receive a call, then those students do not need to quarantine.

The school is disinfecting the areas the person may have come into contact with.

School officials are reminding all students and employees to perform a daily health screening and to not come to the school if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
