Man arrested in connection with fatal July shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 41-year old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in July.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Sunday Alsham Laster was arrested Friday and charged with the murder of 43-year-old Latisha Burnett. Burnett was shot and killed July 12.
Police say officers were sent to the 1200 block of North Luett Avenue — just south of Indianapolis Motor Speedway — on a report of a dead person. It was later determined Burnett had sustained gunshot wounds.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make a final charging decision.
