Man charged for attempted murder after woman shot in October

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man has been charged for attempted murder after a woman was found shot last month.

Jordan Davis, 27, faces six felony charges in the case for attempted murder, battery by means of a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, carrying a handgun with a prior felony conviction within the last 15 years and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 5500 block of W. 38th St. around 5:15 p.m.

An adult female was transported to a hospital. After speaking with witnesses, investigators were able to obtain a warrant for the arrest of Davis.

On Thursday, IMPD responded to a disturbance call near 38th Street and Mitthoeffer Road around 3 a.m. Officers arrested Davis for the October shooting and on new drug charges.

Online court records indicate his initial hearing in the shooting case is on the morning of Nov. 8.
