Near-east side shooting leaves 1 dead

INDIANAPOLIS — A person was killed in a near-east side shooting late Wednesday night.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say officers were sent to the intersection of East 10th Street and North Rural Street on a report of a person shot.
The victim was located with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead.
No information about the victim’s identity or a potential suspect was immediately available.
