KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – Two people were arrested and drugs and guns were confiscated following a probation home visit, according to the Kokomo Police Department.

Police said that on Feb. 7, officers with the Kokomo Police Department were called to assist Howard County Probation with a residential home visit in the 1500 block of North Purdum Street, the home of 40-year-old James Warren.

During the visit, probation officers saw what they suspected to be narcotics and ammunition in the residence and a search warrant was then obtained for the residence.

Three firearms, packaging for “spice,” 29 grams of methamphetamine, 104 grams of suspected heroin, 41 grams of an undetermined controlled substance and suspected unpackaged synthetic cannabinoid were located in the residence. Officers estimate that the cannabinoid had a $15,000 street value.

Both Warren and 40-year-old Brandon Wilson were taken into custody. Warren and Wilson face a number of preliminary drug charges, including possession of and dealing meth, dealing a narcotic drug and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
